Customized Expert Component Levels (Unbundled Services)

Sometimes you don't need a full search; you just need to outsource one of the expert components of SSC's arsenal. These services can be on a cost plus or project basis for large and small projects.

  • Targeting/Recruiting

    Getting the right people in the interviewing process is the largest challenge. Sometimes a client just needs the right people to show up at the door. For example a national retailer wanted to interview the competitive store managers in each mall in each city of presence. The task was to recruit/deliver those managers to the client store without any qualification.

  • Screening

    The screening process is the biggest "pain in the arse " of the recruiting process, but one of the most important. With hundreds, thousands or even hundreds of thousands of electronic resumes coming in from a variety of sources, only those with deep industry knowledge can review and ascertain candidates with "hidden parallel qualifications" not obvious to a first level admin reviewer or search word software. In other words, the perfect candidate to be hired might get eliminated because the right "keyword" is not on the resume.

    For example in the Edoc world, the client needs a candidate expert in "Metacode". A software or admin screener would eliminate a candidate expert in DJDE projects because the keyword "Metacode" was not on the resume. Unbeknownst to the software or the lower level admin screener, DJDE is a primary expert level component Metacode. An industry expert would immediately recognize this fact and further consider a candidate. SSC's thorough screening processes can help guarantee the baby doesn't get thrown out with the bathwater, and only those candidates with the full required background and skill set get considered.

  • Interviewing

    Gone are the days of hiring by instinct. By the time you make a decision to hire or not, you had better know what you are getting into. Many interviewers merely conduct chronological interviews based on the candidates resume. SSC recommends and uses Behavior Based Interviewing to uncover what the candidate really is made of. This through interview process results in recommendations to move forward with a candidate or not. The ultimate decision though is always yours to make.

  • Backchannel/Reference Checks

    We all make a pathway in our business lives. Because of our industry expertise SSC can go back on this pathway to ascertain what kind of employee a candidate really is. While we don't know everybody in the industry, chances are we know someone that knows everybody. This is SSC single strongest advantage and expertise. We use this skill in assessing the candidate's potential BEFORE we take steps to recruit the candidate. If everyone we talk to that a person has worked with in the previous three jobs thinks a candidate is an A player, you have yourself an A player.

    Reference Checks have become very tricky. Even the worst employee can usually find three people to say nice things. SSC's expertise with reference checks can uncover the hidden secrets that should weigh on a decision to or not to hire. Here too we will make recommendations to move forward or not, but the ultimate decision is always yours to make.
